Stressed out!
There's been a number of emotional stressors lately. Pulling out a few hairs every now and then. I've been trying to be more social - which is challenging for me with mental health issues. They lost all the thick wad of papers that I turned in to the DPW to renew my benefits. I have to re-do it now and it'll be the end of May at the same time as many other things. Too much at once! Since I have no family to fall back on, I depend on those benefits - I became ill and had to call off a day of work, losing $35 pay. I was unsuccessful at altering a blouse that a coworker had given me to do. This is the first time I've not been able to figure out how to do a challenging sewing issue. I'm a creative thinker - my strength! I'm empathizing with my daughter, who has one more week of college before graduating. She has so many things to do and is also thinking ahead of how she's going to miss her college friends! I'm anxious since I will see my abusive ex-husband at her graduation and our older son, who hasn't spoken to me in over a year. He's been having problems seeing things clearly since he became an atheist. I'm glad though that he is able to work and take care of himself. I did swim laps once, and was okay but a bit self-conscious since men there were looking at the "new" lady and checking me out. I know my hair is thin and I have loose skin from the weight loss surgery on my thighs and upper arms. I did accomplish cleaning out my refrigerator, which I wanted to do before my daughter moves home on May 12. Since I live alone, I can't use up things fast enough and they expire. Now that's done! I finished the clown fish paint-by-number that I was doing. Now I'm cheering myself up by writing this - thank God!!
