i am having a really bad day today. the boys keep fighting and if i put them in timeout for 15 min. they just go back to playing then fighting. i am at my wits end on how to get them to play along.
I haven\'t been to the cemetery since the funeral. Our daughter ran there on her mother\'s birthday with a friend, who also lost her mom when when she was young, and insisted on bringing flowers. She sent a photo. I need to order a grave marker, probably a double low wedge, I purchased a plot next to my wife\'s. Traditionally Jews have an \"unveiling\" about a year after the burial.
I\'m still surrounded by her things, 10 months later. A friend helped me sort and pack her clothes for donation, but the boxes are still here. Our daughter will come and go through jewelry & stuff.
I burned incense, the good resin kind with charcoal, a few times a day for about 9 months, on my altar that still has some of Arlene\'s things, also things from my mom\'s house (she died last year before Arlene), mementoes of pets we lost, and some things I gave my best friend, who died after Arlene in September. That helped.
I cried frequently for a couple of months. I just cried a half hour ago thinking about Instant Karma by John Lennon. We were married on his birthday.
