strength training with polymyositis
Yesterday I did an hour with my PT testing what muscles work, and what don't. Biceps had tanked, hip adductors, and some glutes and hamstrings. Man, I squeezed rubber balls between my knees, did some torso work with bands, and some bridging. I was so tired that I was in bed by 7. Today, a systems check let me know I was still tired in the hips, and need another day to recover a bit. Tomorrow is another appointment!

May have to scale back a bit, and for me doing 10 min 4 or 5 times a day worked better and i recovered faster than a whole hour. So get them to give you a home plan. some things you can do in bed, in a chair, and when up walking. Even a band on the bathroom door when you are there, you can work your arms!! good effort but over doing it is not good for us either.
You will get there, slow and steady wins the race!!! I am cheering for you.
