strangely calm
we didnt get good news for dad.....they told us he a few months with no treatment and maybe a year with treatment. I am happy that he decided to try the treatment, so that makes me think he hasnt given up.
I seem to be comforting everyone else and i seem to be accepting it with no emotional fallout......does this make me a bad daughter or have i not faced it yet ot have i just accepted whatever happens in my life with zen......or is the fallout coming?
My daughter called last night....she was worried that she might have to take her cat in to be put to sleep.....he has urinary tract disease and he was retaining urine.....i havent heard what happened and i dont want to wake her if she is sleeping after it happened....if she had to do it her boyfriend was going to go with her.
so many bad things are surrounding me right now and i seem to be accepting it all and i keep expecting things to get better.

Hang in there a little longer !!!! When my father died it was expected and I still lost it! No telling but try to be strong .. feather
I\'m so sorry that things aren\'t great right now for you..i\'m keeping you and your family in my prayers!! Be blessed!!
Sorry you keep getting unpleasant news, Beth,,,but hang in there. It can only get better!!!!!
My prayers are with you.
Your father sounds very brave, so I am not surprised that you are, too. You and he are both so lucky to be near each other. I live far from my Dad and only see him 3 times per year (my brother lives in his town, though, so he is not alone). I hope you enjoy every day with your Dad.
My prayers for your father my dear. The main thing is that if he is comfortable with his decision then thats good & yes I too think it means that he has not given up hope. Our Lord truly does work miracles all the time & that is for sure possible in this case also.
You are in no way a bad daughter. I\'m very much like you in these type of circumstances & I know with me it\'s just because I\'m firmly planted in reality, taking each day & step as it comes & going from there. Good faith has alot to do with handling and accepting it also. I like to remind myself that if the Lord leads you to it then the Lord will walk you thru it.
I\'m so very sorry abt the kitty. It\'s hard to have to lose a dear pet under any circumstances.
you have grace, from what i read and see, grace in times of trouble is a blessing so just accept it as you are accepting your Dad\'s journey. my thoughts are with you.
I believe Tracey is on to something. And I believe when everything around you is chaotic, you just have to keep pushing through.
I think you are a remarkable daughter, you are by your Dad\'s side, your daughter\'s side and dealing with your own disappointments as well.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as well.
Peace, Love and Hugs
I was so hoping to hear good news. I know that this is no comparison but when my grandmother passed (a long hospital process) I did the same thing. Everyone else came first, I was so worried about them. I knew that Grandma was going to a place of no pain but all my loved ones seemed to be in great pain. Honestly I was so preoccupied with others that I didn\'t cry at the funeral even. My first cry was on my drive back to work. Song on the radio and all of a sudden I could smell her. I knew she was there and it felt as if she was giving me a hug. I cried and cried and cried but it was a release not a gut wrenching sob. It felt very good and when I got to work everyone was worried because it was evident that I had been crying but I told them I was fine and it was the truth. I felt lighter than I had in a year. I don\'t know if my story helped at all it\'s that I get what you are saying.
You are full of grace, dignity, strength and a highly evolved individual. I wish you well on this difficult journey ahead. Lots of Love, Peace and Courage
Dad is handling the news with grace and courage so how can I do anything less. He is willing to try other treatments after he is done with his chemo but he has also signed a dnr.
