strange pain moving around my body

I have been really relaxed recently and this morning my husband did something really harmless which for some reason stressed me out and triggered a pain response in my body.  It was really wierd it started as a pain in my upper back and then moved around to diffferent parts of my back and into my legs arms and neck.  It continued probably for about an hour.  I have never experienced anything quite like it.  It reminded me of physical responses I've had during EMDR therapy quite a long time ago.  It made me think maybe I should go get a massage or something to clear whatever it is that's roaming around inside my body.

Roaming pain -- as if various nerve endings were "remembering" emotional pain and firing again. Our extended nervous systems do seem to hold memories, and as you mentioned EMDR also sometimes triggers physical responses. Massage may help clear this particular memory road map in your body. I hope so! Hugs, Huangreatdog (a nerdy reference to Tolkien's "Simarillion" and a very brave elvish guard dog :-) )
