Strange Air
It's been a strange week. I am at the tip end of it with not anything to do at work. I have been busy the last 2 weekends so I decided to stay close to home and focus and maybe do some fall cleaning. I adopted a new kitten and Lefty my older cat is not happy. I thought I was doing her a service by getting her a playmate but she is use to being the baby and now she doesn't know what to think.
I find my house is not in order and it's starting to get to me. Roomie clutters everything. There are piles that build of his mail and I have to stay on top of those and make sure they get filed. I am still standing on the middle of the fence about situation. Roomie asked me last night if I'd like to go to California for Thanksgiving and have dinner and meet his friends there. If I go, then I'm sending a message to him that we are solid and right now I'm just not sure if thats the case. I am trying to love him but I don't feel it's going to happen after almost 2 yrs. I feel like the normal thing to do is focus on the roof over my head right now and save money and not worry about relationships right now. The holidays are coming up and I would just assume do my usual thing-go to the local Village Inn for a hot Thanksgiving meal and eat it on the back porch with the squirrals. Heck...I may even think about going to the treehouse for the holiday and just chill. Tommorow night I am doing a meetup to meet new freinds around the area. I need good conversation and social stimuli and be reminded that there is other human's out there and the world is still turning, I just want to turn with it...

I wonder if you should boil off the fat of the romantic innuendo of contemporary *Relationships* and let the choice be potential adventure or familiar comforts. Your only guarantee is that both choices have their flaws. Damned humans. . .
Dunno. . . Just brain farting on a strange and mournful day.
Continued support while you sort. Hope the meet-up fills that human need for conversation and social stimuli. Is it a bad thing that all humans have assholes with health requirements to use them daily?
I think you made the right decision of not going to dinner with roomie and I must admit, your idea of a Thanksgiving dinner sounds alot like something I would do. I have shared my meals with squirrels on many occasions!.
I thought I might try and cook dinner myself this year...alas....my cooking skills never got developed and Village Inn is just the right amount of food-no leftovers. As far as the meetup goes....I'm just trying to find a place to fit in. There will be 110 participants there and Im afraid if I don;t make an appearance they will kick me out for being a no show twice over.
