Enjoy! We had an awesome thunderstorm early this morning bringing Temps into the 80's . First time 80's during day since May! I'm headed to walk along the river.
@ jptexas.... It's Hurricane Lee that y'all been hearing about in the news. It's suppose to be outta here by tomorrow. Tradewinds is the name of the local grocery store. It's a small store just off I-95. It has a Tim Horton's connected to it.
@ Mid So far all my trees are still standing. I just got home. The generator was off and the power was back on as well as the internet, but I saw lots of trees down on the way into town.
glad your trees are still standing and the generator you have is much better than mine because I have to manually switch it on and off and manually start it but my 10K generator does have electric starter and it powers everything in house except the AC.....I do not care about that....but it does not power the APC powerbank that runs the Internet and the security cameras when power goes off for some reason....I noticed that last time I used it because it was out long enough the powerbank went dead....it is uninterruptible power supply but just runs a few things I have plugged in....but the generator will run the furnace in winter....because it is gas and just the blowers run from electric.....
I survived a few typhoons when I lived on Guam but I had water come into house thru windows that were closed....I think it was because we had louvered windows on the apt I was in....I got a rug I had that was a belgium rug wet from it and I think I threw it away afterwards....it was from my grandparents house....but the thing getting wet ran the colors in it.....
@ Atpeacemary ... We use to have alot of Tim Horton stores but they closed down a bunch of them in this state when the economy turned bad but they kept the one in my home town, thank God. I love their french krullers.. I call them tractor tires because that's what they look like LOL!
@ Billwfriend... When I came home, I parked in front of the generator but I couldn't hear it running so I knew the power was back on. The eastern part of the state got it alot worse then I did. To tell you the truth, I have seen winter storms that were far worse then this one was but I'm glad I didn't have to deal with anything worse.

our Tim Hortons here in St. Louis closed too....I think there was some sort of dispute about their owners here.....I do not know inside story but there were two I know of and both gone none in my city now....I went there for coffee one time...may have gotten a donut there too....

Bob those innocent light and airy donuts are so high is butter, cream and sugar. I can only have a small piece. But once in a blue moon treat, go for it
