stopped by l's for haircut//rn's to see p's house & drop off cuticle oil//office and marina

beautiful, sunny day today.  as usual the nut woke me up twice.  wth?  i called m to ask about the two missing calicos.  one is fed on the next street and is fat, and the other is being treated for hair loss and thinner.  no idea what to think?  its a full week missing.  both are super friendly.  rn says the new flea med only worked for 2 or 3 weeks, not 4.  typical, its summer.  i can buy it from her or k will.   according to the catalog, ivermectin dose and then praziquantal, both can be bought in the catalog, will kill every parasite that an animal has, even in animals as large as a horse and they provide the dosage.  so that is next.  they also provide a sequence for it in the revivalanimal.com catalog and the catalog itself if you want it sent, is free.

went to get my haircut, as l's number didn't work.  her daughter was there (they actually look alike (reminds me of l over 10 years ago) and have two small dogs now).  she used to have a cute house, but after ten years, it needs paint and all that and she doesn't want to bother.  she is selling it and wants to move north of here.  it went down in value instead of up and she is very annoyed about it.   her daughter said she is doing nursing work more than hair and i have her new number now.  also called dianeH back and gave her the number of the nursing home near her house that is hiring.  it should work out for her, she has BOTH qualifications and our company won't hire someone new at all.  she also lives too far from here to warrant working around here for such crap pay.

went to rn's and brought her a big thing of cuticle oil.  i never use it and its very good and soothing.  that thing of oil bugs me because it no longer has the coconut scent to it.  she didn't notice that at all.  i did mine and her's so she knows how to do it.  its one of the best parts of a manicure, and done at the end, but its also very soothing to use alll the time.  she works in her yard a lot, so its perfect for her.  picked up newspapers for me.

went to see p's house as well.  b is there tiling it.  its very small, i think around 1200 square feet max, but she doesn't want added responsiblity now.  she wants to be where its familiar.  her daughter is in the house behind it (p owns both houses inherited from her aunt), but her daughter still doesn't pay the water on it and when her granddaughters had the other two houses she owned next door to these, did the same thing, leaving the bills, not telling anyone and then it got too far in arrears - lots of trouble.  i think they are at UF now.  i hear that scenario so much from people, it AMAZES me.  the way around it, is what k does and the ones in westfield did, they collect weekly rent instead.  or how about, just don't do landlording that includes utilities etc. its too dangerous.  she shouldn't be paying everyone's bills, her social security check is very small.  weird that everyone is becoming retired lately.  lol.

went to the other church FINALLY for their sale.  the pastor and his wife took over.  its freshly painted and they TRIPLED the prices of the merchandize.  so need to find a new cheapy one if i feel like "thrifting" as mr calls it.  lol.  shopping there or auction is stress-free because no one is trying to get you to buy things.  the pastor likes to talk.  he says the women that were in there volunteering were stealing the merchandize and selling it on e-bay.  wth?  in a church?!   treating poor people badly giving them very crappy things instead of the good stuff that they need.  and he has a larger congregation since he got there.

in georgia he brought it from 32 members to 1200 and they are hoping he will do that here.  he has been here 4 years now.   he says they have a large profit on the store without advertising and before the store was a total loss and he cringed.  i told him about food co-op's as they need them in that area.  there is only two in the whole county.  i did the same when i talked to the young pastor from the church northwest of here.  hope one of them does it.  its basically bump and dent and if a church doesn't open it, an ordinary retailer will.  better it go to a church.

went to the office to get some work done and then went to the marina with a.  the beach is PACKED.   we have a huge project to do and the old guy was "working on it" on the wrong forms.  grrrrr.  when the new guy tried it, he said he did way more than he really did and there is no evidence he did any at all.  what we are doing is tedious and takes a lot of HOURS to do.  its not hard its just tedious.  to do 24 hours of it, takes 12 hours minimum, so would be 3 days, uninterupted kind of thing, figuring 4 hours a day devoted to it.  then we had another vacation request.  hope we find more people soon.
