stood my ground

It wasn't easy to say no.  I'm not sure if T wanted the money for the movies or not but he was very convincing.  His girlfriend was waiting outside in her car.  He never brings her in our house.  He texted me and begged me.  He said he was doing something "constructive" and I not allowing him to, since I won't give him money.  T's employer hasn't paid him all summer (because we told his employer - our friend - not to pay him0.  We'll collect it from him and give our son the small amounts of cash.  T- Man doesn't know about that deal but he's getting frustrated not having any money.  My husband will need to collect something from this guy to give something to T.
Last week my husband gave T the remaining $50 of his birthday present and I wasn't happy about that.  He "thought" we agreed to give T cash.  T got the cash alright and didn't come home some nights or very late.  In fact, his room reeked of pot the week my hubby gave him the money.  
After writing that out it - it helps.  It helps me to see that I cannot give in.  It's not easy because you just want things to be normal.  They are better than they were but I know that this won't go away or get better until he stops.  That the nature of the beast.
Update and good news -  T came home at a reasonable time and wasn't nasty nor did he seem like he was under the influence.  He actually said he was sitting outside having a cig when we he saw some kids walking up to our neighbor's open garage.  The kids were taking something that looked like a case of beer.  T called out to them and they took off like a bat out of hell.  Yes - T was the one stopping crime.  What is the irony of that?
