Stone Ordeal
On Wednesday the 25th I went in for the percutaneous stent and stone removal, I was very nerveous, but confident that in a couple hours the stone would be gone. One of the resaons I was going to see this guy was that my regular urologist didn't think he had the instraments long enough to get the stone. I am a big man. barrel chested. The first guy said that his"tools" were 2 1/2 in. too short. So I go see the specialist and his comment I have a 99.5% success rate and SHOULD be able to extract your stone, Needless to say, 3hours, 3 tubes one wire in my back, 2 tubes and one wire in my bladder later, he just couldn't get there. He said thet he could touch the stone, but couldn't access it well enough to attemp to remove it. On Thursday night my pain was well I was ready to give up and just die, evidently I was laying on the tubes and wire in my back, They had told me that an introventionist radiologist want a crack at placing the tube he had a couple ideas and wanted to try. So I said while I here...... go for it. After 2 hours, he removed the hardware put in on Wednesday and placed one tube in my back and 2 in the bladder. STILL NO ACCESS, Later Friday evening they made the desision the call it off and removed the remaining tubes without anesthesia,,,,say hurt,,,,big HURT. They let me come to where I sleep on Saturday, The last several days I just haven't been able to sit upright for very long so I haven't been on. I am getting better day by day, just a slow pace. I told the boss that I'd be off 'til at least Teesday now most likley all week, for I am still extremely sore. Thank all you wonderful people on DS for the hugs, thought, prayer, and messages...I could tell that they were heartfelt...... More Later,Always just Jack

Jack, So many hugs to you. I was getting worried when we didn\'t hear from you.
I agree with Missiann. What\'s plan B?
You might need to talk to another specialist. Ask them who they would go to if they were in this situation.
Hoping for a quick recovery.
