I swear, the buck really does stop with me. The attorney did call me back, but I didn't hear the phone (was in a very loud place, getting lunch); so I left another message shortly thereafter for her 2 days ago & still haven't heard back.
Anyhow, I did some research & I'm not obligated to talk to them, let them into my home, or anything (per a Parental Rights brochure I found on their website). And I may have an attorney present when & if I speak to them. Good!
So if this attorney doesn't call back this week, I did find another one online who also does free consultations, so I'll check on that. In either case, I have 34 days before the case is closed. I really feel my mamma bear instincts kicking in...
Other news: I have a cold, caught from DH. Yay (not). We're supposed to get a big snowstorm/blizzard tomorrow. I probably won't go to work (nothing urgent going on anyway) & hopefully my daughter's volunteer work will be closed on Saturday. I just hope the world won't park in front of our house so that the plows can get close!
