I have gotten a lot of regrowth in all my pull areas. The hair that has grown in isn't like the other hair i have. It is mainly white and frizzy. It's better than nothing growing. i have been pulling those areas for over 30 years. I might be able to wear my hair down in about a month. I will have to dye my hair because the growth is such an ugly color. But after it is dyed it will be ok to wear without my topper. I take the viviscal twice a day. I use minoxidil twice a day. I sleep with miconazole on my scalp 3 times a week. I have seen growth in less than a month. Some of the areas had no hair at all. i haven't pulled in months but the urge is still there. Every time I go to pull I think about the permanent damage I did to my hair. I think about all the chemicals I have to constantly put on my scalp to get minimal growth. I've been to this point before and started pulling again. And then the pulling last for months or even a year. I really with I could stop touching the regrowth because thats what triggers the pulling.

Congrats on lots of regrowth. What is minoxidil ? I have heard it mentioned before. Miconazole is an anti yeast and helps the hair grow, and cuts the itch - that is Monistat right ? I just bought some monistat 2 % and started using it again, massaging into scalp and leaving it on. Glad to hear you haven\'t pulled in months, good for you. But the urge is still there, but you are resisting - good for you ! I hear you about wishing you could stop touching the regrowth as it triggers pulling, and then you find it hard to stop. I had great regrowth and was almost ready to go without a hairpiece, several times in the last year, and then I start a pulling spree and end up with bald areas. Right now lots of regrowth but lots of pulling daily. Lately I have been pulling at night, through till the morning hours. I tell myself I have to stop but I keep going. So frustrating !!
Minoxidil is generic Rogaine. I stopped using it because I started pulling again. It has a lot of side effects, like headaches and heart palpitations. But I was desperate because regrowth for me is so slow.
