still with a cold
Today is Thursday and Steve is still not feeling well. He has become very emotional and said he was just so sick of being sick. (It has been over 2 weeks with this cold) I thought of all of you at that moment and wondered how he will do when he becomes very sick. I kinda had a flash to the future and it scared me. He is so strong and so independent and always has been that kind of person. How will he be when he is not that anymore? I can't dwell on that or it would drive me crazy. I think of all of you so often. You will never know how much it means to share my fears with people who are there now or like my good friends who have been thru it .
We had made some good plans for the weekend prior to getting these colds. We need to go if he thinks he can do it. We are going to Maggie Valley NC for a big car show and then go over to Asheville NC with a group of people who belong to the Roush Road Crew. These folks are coming from Michigian to the show and then cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway with out Roush mustangs. Some good friends have signed up to go and we are hoping that he will feel better by tomorrow afternoon. We both are on antibodics so we will keep our fingers crossed!
My dog Maxwell ( who by the way is a member of the family) will not be able to go. Lord knows carshow people would croak if a dog peed on a wheel LOL. We have arranged for a sitter for Max. (just like a child) Maxwell has not been feeling to good since we took him to the vet on Monday for shots and treatment for allergies. I think he had a seizure last night. He has never had one before so he scared the crap out of me. We talked to the vet and he stopped all of his meds until we get back! You know if you are a animal lover that our pets become a part of us. Our oldest daughter asked me once if Maxwell was in the will? hehe and joked that he is the brother that she never had. Our youngest who has 2 yorkies think he is just spoiled and she tends to not "study it". That is one of her favorite things to say. I am too busy to study that . I guess she is, she is a nurse with an 11 year old child and tries to just keep up with a 40 hr week job.
I will close for now and just wish the best for all of you. To Linda and Kathy I am praying for each of you. I hope I haven't bored any of you. I love you all. Wanda
