Still watching Fay

This little sucker will just not leave here. Fortunately she is north of us here in Sarasota. We are getting a few showers our way from her though. Looks like Florida will be dealing with her for a couple more days yet. I have a friend from Indiana that drives Semi Truck. He called last night and said he was south of Atlanta heading to Miami. I told him to stay where he was for a couple of days. I guess he did not know where Fay was. He called his boss and told him he was not going to make it to Miami Friday. Fortunately his boss just told him to do what he thought was best. I talked to Jim, my truck driver friend, again this morning. He was getting bored and said he was going to move further south and see how the weather was. Said that if it got bad he would hopefully be able to find a place to park and wait it out. I don't think he will get to Florida line before he pulls over. I got the laptop I acquired working with a temporary copy of Windows XP. I am thinking I am going to try and load a free copy of Linux abunta operating system on it and see how it is. Have never tried anything other than Windows. May be fun to try it. Can't afford to buy a Windows XP to put on it. I was dumb to think that I would just be able to switch the HDD out of my IBM laptop and put in it and get it to work. All I have ever played with in the past have been IBMs. Hands are a little better this morning still cramping a little though. Still have to take down my shutters. I think I will wait until tommorrow. Then maybe Debbie can help a little. Need to mow the lawn again also. Glad I have a big rider to mow it with. I don't think I could do it with a push mower.  Better go for now. Need to check on all my friends and see how they are doing.
