Still trying.... 10 cycles later....
We just got married on Aug 16. A beautiful wedding celebration, without too much fan fare. Mostly it was a family reunion!!! It was a great distraction from us trying to conceive. Unfortunately I've been seeing my ob/gyn and now know I need to see an infertility specialist. I have been on 3 cycles of clomid now, and had on IUI about 10 days ago. I think it was done too early, even though the test strips showed a raise in my luetinizing hormones. The specialist said that the readings can be false, and that they do blood work and sometimes include an ultrasound. My ob/gyn seemed to think this was unneccessary, thats when I knew they could not admit their lack of experience and knowledge in fertility. I am know 40 and very disappointed that so much time has past!! I have been proactive in my treatment with no helpful information from my ob/gyn. I have to move past this and stop letting this disappointment crush my quality of life! I have been (mildly) depressed, and although trying to be healthy I have turned to food to numb my anxiety at night. I am not over weight, but have to be careful, as I want to keep things stable with my health. I am keeping my fingers crossed, trying to find solace in prayer, trying to believe in and listen to my guarding angels and accepting whatever befalls us. I love my husband dearly, and have a hard time with feeling like I am disapponting him!! He is so supportive, and says he rather have me and no other children, than not have me in is life at all!! He truly is my best friend, confidant, soul mate, and partner through life from here on.
