Still stuck...but hopeful
I haven't written anything in awhile. For a couple of reasons I suppose. One, I have been staying busy. Two, nothing really to say. I have been stuck in the middle of finding out how bad my own reality is. Scares me because I don't want to be an angry, and unhappy. It scares me to see other people who have similar reactions and situations and to know that I have many of the same reactions. I realize that I don't want to be like that. Negativity though has a way of building on itself, and as it continues to go I haven't been able to find a way to stop the negative thoughts and beliefs.
I feel a little hopeful because in therapy yesterday we discussed core beliefs and a small part of what it is going to take to change it. My therapist gave me an exercise to help deal with my negative thought spirals through journaling. I hope this works. I don't have any ideas left, but I know that what is going on right now isn't good for me or my family. I really need to get out of this funk.

Thank you for getting back to me. I really appreciate the tip. My therapist and I were discussing not exactly a gratitude list, but something similar. It was more defined towards what sends me into the negative head space. Affirmation in the regular sense doesn't work for me but telling myself that I am wrong about it, and showing myself why I am wrong has helped; say I feel unloved... this is not true because I have a boyfriend and child that love me. I am currently working on my pointed gratitude list, and positive self image binder, I just don't always do the work.
