Still Stepping
My gut is one of my psych flags. The official dx for my intestinal woes is, "Spastic Colitis." The name for the dx gives away how long ago I was diagnosed and how long it has been since I asked a physician about it. Near as I can tell, physician treatments arenae any more effective under the new names. I still take it as a symptom of my mental illness. I clench my gut and neglect my nutritional needs allot when I am in episode. The pain remains quite intense this morning. There have been a few rounds of bowel incontenence, but mostly manageable. My appetite is not great, but food is going down and staying down. I am anxious to *just get over ^it^* but my gut is signaling that the justies are just not here yet. Working to be patient with the process and keeping the focus on psychotherapy resources.
Today I am going to make the rounds of Christian based therapy programs. If I stumble upon other spiritual options, I will check them out, but my internet options didn't reveal anything. I am okay with the atheist psychology, but I am a big believer in spiritual balance for my love of science. Strictly personal. No disrespect intended to atheists.
It is breaking my heart that the rivers are so close, yet still so far. . . Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer.

No sure how to approach this topic, but...
Well if you're smoking more often than usual, that could be adding to the bowel issues too. (I'm not trying to make you quit or anything.) But I know someone with MS (multiple sclerosis) who using smoking to MAKE himself go... (The docs aren't really happy about it...but it works.)
