still sober

Now that I'm off the natural high of life from the cruise, back to real life. Still sober. Told my mom and bro in very nonchalant way. They asked how high my bar bill was, and I just casually said, Oh, I quit drinking about a month and a half ago. I decided I don't really need it ." They were very happy for me- my drinking amount/behavior/frequency has usually been hidden from them as I only see them once a year. But I know I've called them drunk and been drunk when they're here. I think they have an idea that my drinking was worse than I let on. Anyway, feel weird, but better for telling them. I never gave details, as it is really non of their business.(And they'd feel even worse if they did know any of the details.)
