Still Processing

Sunday, October 19, 2008 I have taken a few days off from Daily Strength in order to do some recuperating from the family conference I had earlier in the week.  I also needed to do some processing on everything that occurred during that day.   The weekend gave me a lot of time to catch up on some things I have been neglecting around here.  It also provided me an opportunity to get some badly needed rest and sleep.  At least I got something positive accomplished during the weekend.   Something strange seems to be going on with both my brother and sister.  I received phone calls from each of them yesterday.  Last night, my sister said she had bought some ink cartridges, which I needed for my printer.  She wanted to bring them over last night, along with a sweater, which she had bought for me.  I was not really in the mood to see her, so I suggested that she wait until I went to her birthday party on Tuesday, and give them to me at that time.   I received a phone call from my brother, earlier yesterday afternoon.  He left a message for me saying that he and his wife were going to a play in Denver, and that he would call me back some other time.   I could be entirely wrong, but I cannot help but think that both my brother and sister are beginning to feel somewhat guilty concerning some of the things that were said both during our family conference on Monday, as well as after it.  For both of them to call me during the same week is nothing short of a rarity.   Having gone through everything that was said at our family conference on Monday, I still could not think of anything I might have said that was improper or wrong.

Maybe they should be feeling guilty and maybe that is a positive step in the process for you all. We have to admit to ourselves when we have wronged someone, or hurt someone, even if it was unintentional.
