Still Overwhelmed

Today I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed. It's not as bad as yesterday night, but it's still there. I ended up talking on the phone to my friend Courtney until 1am just to have a distraction. She's cool to talk to, too. We both messed up our schedules talking so late, but it was fun. Every now and then you have to do something crazy like that. She called me while I was doing my journal yesterday and I was feeling everything hit me. I wanted a distraction, and she was it. We talked about everything under the moon, our hubbies, our problems, the good, the bad, and everything in between. It's addicting talking to her since we can just talk for hours and not notice the time going by. It's good to have a friend, though. I don't have many of them. Most people can't handle me. I'm too crazy for them, too real or whatever. I don't shy away from taboo things. I talk about things like my mental disorders and atheism when people aren't used to that.
Today I didn't do much since I slept all day. I slept from 1am to 2:30pm, and then from 4 to 5pm. I needed that nap for some reason. I've been feeling better since I took it. I made dinner (teriyaki chicken with rice) and then talked to Courtney again. I wish I could have eaten dinner with Geo, but he's still sick so he's napping. He didn't sleep well last night I guess. He was in bed by 5:30am and woke up at 2:30 when I did so he got plenty of sleep, but I guess it's not good sleep. He's been asleep since 5pm. We did have a good time this morning laughing about stuff we found online... I don't remember what, but there were a couple things that just had us rolling with laughter. It's nice to spend time together, even if it is him on his tablet and me on my laptop. We can share things with each other and laugh together like we did today.
Mood for today was pretty good... I had to take a Vicodin for my tooth, but I'm down to just 1-2 a day now. I'm also on the antibiotics and I think those are helping too. My jaw isn't as swollen as before, but I still have a bit of exposed bone in my mouth. I need to see the dentist about it when I have my follow up next week. If it gets bad, I might have to go in as a walk in at 8am, but I'm trying to avoid that. I didn't do any exercise today because of my tooth. I can't wait until I can start walking again. I don't know if I will go back to the pool now that school is out. I know it's going to be a bunch of kids there and I don't want to see them doing stupid stuff that's going to end horribly one day. One time I went to the pool and there were kids climbing the handrails of the ladder and jumping off of them. The rails were shaking like crazy, but that didn't stop them. I could just see one of them falling off and splitting their head open. It hasn't happened yet, but if they keep doing that, I think it will. Just kids being kids and thinking they are immortal.
I'm going to be calling my stepdad again in a bit. I haven't talked to him today since he's been out at the movies with my brother. Geo is napping beside me, but he said I could talk on the phone at night when he's napping at night. It might wake him up, but it's better than me waking him up on purpose so I could talk on the phone in bed. It's a nightly ritual for me to talk on the phone before I go to sleep. It calms me down so I can sleep. I've been calling my stepdad every day since the stroke or whatever. I'm just glad he goes in tomorrow to get more tests done. Geo thinks I'm overreacting, but I know that something bad happened to my stepdad. He has permanent vision changes and memory loss. I can think of things quicker than him now, and even have to finish sentences for him.
Food today was okay... I was low on my calories since I wasn't awake for most of the day. I'm sure I will make up for it tomorrow and the coming days. Keep my metabolism guessing. I weighed in yesterday at 214.5 pounds. I'm kinda stuck between 214 and 215 pounds. It's okay... I've been on plateaus before, and this one will pass. It's been a while since my last one, so I should be expecting this. Plus, I haven't been exercising like I want to be because of all the injuries and healing that needs to be done. So once I get myself back into doing what I normally do, I should start losing again. At least I lost all the weight I gained while in LA. I was up to 221.5 pounds when I came back, so I've lost 7 pounds. Yay for me!

Just getting up to date with your weekend journals.
Yay on the lost 7 pounds...FANTASTIC!
I am glad the tooth is getting better.
Hope you Step father gets good news when he goes to the doctor. Strokes can leave long lasting disabilities and I pray they will not be too overwhelming for him.
