still on the road
It is a week since we met at the retreat. I felt so lost at first - everyone seemed to know everyone else. It was amazing how quickly i felt like one of the group. There is no doubt that we have a bond. I look forward to next year.
We are still travelling. We visited Bryce Canyon, The Arches, Canyonland and Zion. Then we went to the Grand Canyon. They all had a beauty that was unique.
We are now in Bakersfield - headed for the Napa Valley and the Oregon Coast. I need to be near the water after all this desert! It was 40F today. At one point when we were driving, it was 42. I have never been so thankful for air conditioning.
As we drive, I think of the wonderful weekend, of the cherished children we gathered to celebrate and of course, my beloved Lisa. I cry as I recall the times we shared, the laughter, tears and everything in between.
So thank you all for being there for me.
Lisa: You are never far from my thoughts. So many things remind me of you - the hills and mountains. I know you would have loved the hikes through the hills and valleys. I know how much you loved the Rockies. I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

What a wonderful trip.
It was such a blessing to me to meet you. I see now how much Lisa looks like you. I truly enjoyed your company on the retreat and hope we get to do it again next year.

It was so good to meet you and yes we do have such a special bond. I\'ve often thought how wonderful it is to go an entire year and when the retreat rolls around, it\'s like we just left each other and we pick up where we left off. Have a wonderful and safe trip back. Love to you. Robin

I am so glad that you felt a quick connection...we are a unique group...that bond is indeed special. I am so glad that you also are continuing the adventure..have fun and feel Lisa with you each moment.

Dearest Marlene, you touched me in ways I find hard to express. It was a knowing...a meeting of the souls....when you looked deep into my eyes. I\'ll never forget that moment. A bond begun here on line and only deepened while in Utah.
Enjoy your travels! You guys seem to be traveling the same path my husband and I took last year. Amazing country this USA! I\'m looking forward to visiting Canada.....\"on purpose\" one day! LOL, a little inside humor referencing our Niagara Falls retreat in 2010 when Barbara, Joanne (Munrogirl) and I \"accidentally\" crossed the Canadian border!!!
