Has it really been 13 years? Something I thought about this year vs all the other years............ All the grieving parents out there that lost their children 13 years ago today. It really doesn't 'hit home' until you're included in that group of 'parents that lost their children'... My heart goes out to each and every one of their family's and loved ones. On this day may they and every one of us, try to find some peace and love, today and always.

No one can understand or know this path until they are walking it. My heart does go out daily to all who are walking this with me and yes, our world as we knew it forever changed on that day, thirteen years ago... I know that each of us can remember just what we were doing when we heard, I know I can. I was teaching fifth grade and my little charges entered in white faced and needed time to process... We became pen pals with an inner city school in NY and the children received a first hand experience on their level of what it was like.
