still needs editing...

it's all about the consistent story
those quantum telegrams between brain cells
the voices have to be in unison inside the head
but who has the time and energy to appear normal
when one is raised to believe that the ache of contradiction is the lucid moral of every story
when one's heartfelt, simple requests are scrutinized like pastures for speculation
when unkind voices in the head occupy one's life with sharp, fervent entropy

we try, we try, and we try again
we who are damaged and vulnerable beyond what is conceivably repairable and defensible
what if it's the definition of normal that is broken?
perhaps a new definition of normal will require the consensual acceptance of what is irreperable and sensitive

"This is only a thought, a feeling, a theory, an experience."
this normalcy that many of us crave is merely a thought, a feeling, a theory, an experience of withdrawal
the vagrant symptom of an addiction to other people's warrantless expectations...
