Still Kicking....

It's been awhile since I've posted. Things are plugging along, but I am still at the house. I finally have a new roof, the work is started with the restoration. (Walls are reinsulated, drywalled and prepped for painting.) Measurements have been taken for the carpet and i am waiting for an email to choose a color (he forgot the swatches)

I got the old furniture and big junk hauled away and the roofers are waiting to be paid and will be back to replace partial ceiling in the office where water damage from leak was.  Unfortunately the damn insurance company called me and is saying they are not going to cover some of the payment ... will cover the roof but not the base underneath. (There was a couple of dark spots over by the chimney so they believe it was rotten wood. claiming this was not from the storm damage, but improper repairs or neglect on our part. Several years ago a guy did claim to repair and said the chimney was not sealed properly. So this may have caused more issues )  It is very strange to me that the whole reason for filing a claim is because there was damage and a need for repair, but they can seem to pick and choose their rules. Whats more, it is not like I am climbing up to check out anyone's work. Silly me, I take people at their word. At first I was upset at the thought of yet another price tag  adding to my grand total bottom line once I sell. Then I took a breath or two and realized it is ok. Just another grand here or there. By now I should be used to having but two nickels to rub together. lol

I do still have to take pix of some antiques and a couple big  items to put on a local yard sale on facebook.  I tried to recruit some coworkers, or some others who offered to help after Dave died.... is funny now how no one seems to want to bother. You have no clue how frustrating it is to be clueless and have noone to help. Dave hooked up our tv and 2 stereo systems to 85 hundred fucking speakers with wires . I just needed someone to disconnect and put me back to  the basic original 2 . wanted to see if I should try to get a few bucks for other systems (I only need 1) or just chuck them. Also need to learn how to have the Wii connected.... have all the playstation stuff together and the zillions of games to try to get a few bucks for. (I want to keep the Wii since that also pulls up computer and Netflix )

Had stitches removed today after work ( 2 small cysts removed ... collar bone and back of neck.)  Dr said all looks good.  So you see I have been busy and that is why I have not posted for awhile.  (Rest assured you can always count on me popping in to type another book. Bahaha. Some things will never change.)

PS. I cancelled the dating site I was on and they tried to bait me onto a sister one , but I did not bite.  The membership with that is actually paid up til the 21st.... but that one just seems to have toads. LOL I continue to get free nibbles from another I never joined.   I did see a few nearby (and several more a bit further) and was tempted. Right now with all going on, I may wait just a bit longer and try that one out. ZOOSK.  (I think Mary had some luck with that one. )

Hello Kim.

You made me laugh with the “85 hundred fucking speakers with wires” comment. There is so much crap connected to our TVs, so I get it. I bet you can find videos on YouTube about setting up basic stuff. I just had to move my work equipment from work to my home since we are all permanently working from home now. I took pictures of where all the wires connect to everything so I can replicate it. I’m good at putting stuff together but the whole cables, Internet, computers, TV, monitors etc just isn’t my strong suit that’s for sure. I feel your pain with all that.

Glad things are coming together with the house. You are doing great!!

What is it with guys and a zillion speakers? I'd be happy with just 2 small ones. Lol

I am not interested in dating sites, but I use the Quora chat room, and I'm constantly getting messages from guys on there. I am not ever going to marry again, so maybe I could send some of those guys your way! Chuckle.

Thanks. I can use a little help. Lol
Although I do have a friend who did come for my birthday and is spending a few days. We responded to our profiles before. We left the last site.

I'm just testing the waters and getting to know some of the other lonely men. I'm not looking to marry again either. I learned the hard way.

Finally getting a little brave to play the field
