Still Kicking
Just to let you all know I am still alive and well. I'm back to work now, got the new car (somebody chipped my paint ,my first day out--perhaps divine intervention to remind me not to be so proud of something new and no longer perfect?)
I've just said goodbye to another friend I originally connected to on here who now has found some confidence , desire , drive and realization that he can have more. We grew close even though we are worlds apart . He has found someone closeby and it sounds as though the two do have alot to offer each other and can be a family ( she has children ) I am always happy when someone else does find someone or something to fulfill the emptiness in their life. It brings up many in the past who also did come to see they deserved to be happy and take the risks to make the changes necessary.
Yet it does still bring a tear or two to my eyes as I realize that we all move on. Right now it seems to be bringing up the facts that I come home to an empty house, making dinner (or scrambling for something easy since it's just for me) a quiet house with just the sound of the tv to keep me company and finally retiring to an empty bed. It seems as I hear of everyone's plans with their SOs, it is like salt in an empty aching wound.
The water heater was replaced when I was still sick, but the other company has yet to restore and replace the floor, walls drywall and paint they did cut into to repair water damage. So I still have a very ripped up bedroom and hall. (Perhaps it is good I have no life ? Noone to come see the chaos still in my house)

glad covid did not get you into terrible long termers portion of that disease....glad your back at work again.....so when the time is right some guy will entirely sweep you off your feet.....and probably marry you too!
Hi Kim, I’m glad you reached out and let us know you're here. The same thing happened when I got my truck. I’ve never even put a scratch on a vehicle and the first week I was at the store a carriage rolled into the side and put a nice quarter size dent in the door. Now every time I see it I smile.
Enjoy the coming spring and get out there. Church, volunteer.... walk. I joined the local Ambulence to volunteer as we’re out in the country and help can take a while. Just finishing the first basic class and testing then on to EMT training. Anyway I’ve meet some nice people. See what you can do...
Big hugs to you Kim. Someone will walk into your life when you least expect it. So keep your eyes open!! :)
don't lose hope Kim. You have done so well and come so far. You are an inspiration to so many.
The best is yet to come.
