Still Kickin!
I am 13 months smoke free! I have gained a little weight, and I haven't kept on track with my running and exercise as much as I would have liked, but it's a work in progress. "Progress not perfection," they say in Al-Anon. I have to remind myself of that a lot. I am struggling, which is a good thing though, because Jessica's mom just moved back in with us, and she's a smoker. I don't struggle with watching her smoke and wanting to smoke again or anything, but it's the smell that bother's me most. While she was gone it was just so nice to have a fresh smelling apartment, and non-smoky smelling clothes. I'm worried once winter settles down that she'll be smoking inside in our kitchen with the stove hood vent on, and the apartment will smell right back up. I don't want to walk past people and people smell me and wonder, hmm, is she smoking again? *sigh* "the courage to accept the things I cannot change..."
