Still in denial
I feel as if I am not progressing in this process as quickly as I should be. My husband abruptly left after 14 yrs of marriage (16 together total) 6 months ago. He moved in with another woman this week and I am still in denial. I cannot process that he has left me and chose another woman. Down deep inside I feel like he walked out of me and my daughters life because he knew he was hurting us with his alcoholism but just couldn't give it up. I feel like he is just filling a hole with the new residence, girl, and dog. Why am I not getting it? Why aren't I angry, just sad? My husband was head over heels about me and if anything everyone thought I would leave him first. We are in the midst of a bitter divorce, mainly because of the safety and well being of our daughter. I pray that I can move forward because the pain is becoming unbearable and I don't want to feel hurt anymore. Is there any way to help this along. I go to alanon and see a therapist but some days it feels like it just happened all over again.
