Still feeling pretty darn good! I'm loving it so far!! So glad I had the TT.
Had my post op appt yesterday and got clearance for anything and everything. No restricted lifting, driving, etc. He said my swallowing may take a few weeks to a few months to get back to normal.
Pathology came back negative. yay!!!
My inlaws are here for the week and we even went bowling yesterday! I didn't think i was going to be able to bowl, only 5 days out of surgery, but I bowled with my old ball and did just fine!
My neck is still a little sore (I have some extra pain meds that I take a couple times a day if it gets too sore) and my throat still feels like it has a lump in it and its hard to swallow sometimes.
I think my synthroid may be a little high (taking 112) as I have episodes of being hot like I did with the graves. We purposely started out high, though, so I have a feeling I'll be cutting it down to 100 at the 4 week mark.

I want to advise you possibly about your medication.
My Mom was HYPER to and then HYPO due to the RAI. She was only given 100 mcg Levothyroxine AND they gave her an anti-depressant in place of T3. She had a lot of lingering symptoms due to no T3. If you starting feeling depression, body aches, memory problems, don\'t let them give you an anti-depressant.
A person with a thyroid can barely produce T3 and a person w/o a thyroid cannot. We produce & NEED those 2 hormones for a reason. Don\'t let them do this to you. Lack of T3 also leads to fibromyalgia and much later dementia.
When you get a complete blood count (CBC) pay attention to all the figures even though you may be \"within range\" and if you have lingering symptoms.
