Still Chugging
Yesterday was an intensive therapy day, but the tools seem to have done their job. This morning was even blessed with A Holy Shit. The condition of bowels remain my most trusted wellness indicator. My bowels, both literal and figurative, get leaky when I am in a psychotic episode.
The "Permanency Hearing" is this coming Monday. The day after tomorrow. I barely understand what that means and amnae volunteering to explain ^it^ to the children, but I have nary a doubt those little emotional barometers are cued to the nervous jitters Hubs and I are psychopating through. They have jitters of their own and I like answering their direct questions rather than guessing what they *need* to know. I hope the next set of questions will be about Big Bro's double header on the basketball court later this morning.
Hubs is planning to make the 3 hour drive to the hearing while I stay here and keep the school train on its tracks. He has yet to decide if he will leave tomorrow night so he can reach the 8 am hearing refreshed or whether to leave here in the predawn hours. If he chooses the latter option, he will arrive at the hearing with the eye strain of driving directly into the sunrise. Sunrise lover that I am, that isnae an option I would choose. My daily admiration of the sunrise respects the power of sunlight enough that I donae look directly into the source. My road warrior conditioning believes it is unsafe, as well. The world's most powerful light source isnae helpful when it is pointed directly toward the driver. "Blinded by the light" is an understatement. The details of this particular commute are his to decide, but I avoid driving into the rising or setting sun when I do my own road trips.
I believe we are still holding steady through the choppy waters, but I am running intensive therapy protocols while Hubs and I work through the jittery wait. It isnae mine to decide, but every nerve of my psycho spider sense believes moving these orphans now would be devastating to their development. Big Bro and Big Sis adore having rooms of their own. Baby Sis loves her Gampy.
Prayers in progress. . .
Again I wish for the rapid cycling icon while I settle for the median. I am fine. How are you?

All the best re this permanency hearing come Monday, arfie, prayers ongoing. So glad the kids love having rooms of their own. Ya did good.
It has been a long journey until Monday. I have never been a fan of the wait and see. I'm a just give me the answer, the verdict, the news whether bad or good. Hope all goes well in the court. Glad you needn't be there. Support and prayers as you await the answer.
Thanks guys. Waiting isn't my strong suit, either, but life keeps sending me so much practice. . .
The next batch of questions from the kids was, indeed, about the doubleheader on the basketball court. Big Bro's game jersey was lost somewhere in the chaos of winter vacation and moving. We hobbled together the team colors and Hubs, Big Sis and the inappropriately dressed superstar set off on their confuddled way. Baby Sis isnae her usual, bouncey self and two games is a long time for a one-year-old, so she and I sat this one out. She isnae quite sick but she isnae quite right, either. The games have been over long enough that I am beginning to suspect our triviating trio drove to the metroplex in search of another game jersey for next week's game.
Hope a quiet day at home turns things around for baby sis. Support and prayers.
Hugs and support as well as best wishes and fingers crossed, Arfie.
