Stepping back into the world

My gentleman did come and stayed for 5 days. Though he arrived later than I expected (giving me time to worry and second guess my agreement) in the end was a very good birthday and productive work week. 

Furniture came and was assembled. He even assembled a new tv cabinet I had for years that hubby left sit. Reconnected and hooked up (showing me how to stream from my Netflix and adding his accounts as well) my big screen, Helped me sort through some stuff....even disassembled the old entertainment center for trash. Helped me switch over to much cheaper cable deal.(which I was toying with but kept putting off)

It was so nice to have someone kind and helpful around. I must admit that when you do spend 24/7 with someone after being either ignored or alone for so long.....it does take some getting used to. After not even 24 hrs to myself again, I am embracing the simple freedoms I took for granted. 

I did get a little nookie. (Wink, wink.) Still no hot and steamy though. At any rate... He is a friend. He will come next week for 2 days. (Will be working in Allentown for another day and is closer and convenient for us both.)

I have learned enough not to knock myself out this time. Sadly he is not one for home cooking or more healthy veggies and fruit. I did not get to cook the whole week. He did cook for me one night. (It was either bakeable or ready for microwave. But I thought it sweet that he journeyed out and got the trimmings while I was at work.)

I am more in gear with getting things done now. Was surprised the other day when carpet guys showed up unannounced or expected that day. Had 3 men who barely spoke English lugging yet more stuff still in the office. So I had all overtaking my livingroom now too. He did help me that day get a good start. Today I am continuing to make headway and reduce to my packing and that for a yard sale. 

All is pretty good these days. Looking to the future, accepting some help here and there from kind neighbors and new friends.
