Step 2 in the process
My complaint was answered and now we have a pre-trial date set for Jan. 8, 2009. I was hoping to have more done by then. I'm going to see if he'll go straight to mediation and see what they have to say so we can possibly avoid unnecessary lawyer costs. Stay tuned.

How can you have a pretrial so fast? Mine was 10 months after filing. For my pretrial I said what I wanted (financially) and he said what he wanted to give me and the judge told us what she thought. He wouldn\'t agree with the judge so she set a trial date for the end of April 2009. He is now starting to agree with the judge.
You have a ton of work to do. Copy tax records, investments, retirement plans etc. Your income along with his.
