Stem Cell Therapy
After listening to a lecture about the promise of stem cell therapy, I decided to take the plunge. I hope that it can mitigate the MG symptoms enough so that I can get off prednisone. I don't mind the mestinon and IVIG (every four weeks), but the prednisone side effects are disturbing. I've gained 25 lbs since I've been taking prednisone and it doesn't help my breathing problems.

Would you mind going over the \"process\" you had to endure? Stem Cell therapy seems so promising for a lot of afflictions. Curious.
It\'s been a year since my stem cell treatment. The benefits I experienced were short term. I\'m back to my \"old\" self and MG persists. However, unrelated good news is that I am now receiving my IVIG every four weeks at home. This is much better than having to go to an infusion center every time.
