Steady, Cap'n
Three interactions up here this week. No reliable isolation breakers, but it's a start. For now, I believe less is more. There is a big project ahead and my main focus is setting a pace we can keep for an extended period.
Hubs is planning to drive up here after work today. I believe him when he says he really wants to and is not just playing Superman again. I hate it when he snaps his Supercape in my face, but I do miss him allot. At this stage I am lonesome enough that I could invite a rattlesnake to dinner and take it for small talk when it rattles at me.
Steady as she goes, Cap'n. Small moves.

I hope you have calm waters Cap'n. I was sorry to read of your loss, brother. Have fun with hubby...ml
This particular brother (1.5 years older) is the fellow I hold most directly responsible for the fortitude which got me as far as I did in the engineering field. He was shocked the first time he heard, "Girls can't be engineers." He responded, "Have you met my little sister?"
He and I spent countless hours in the barns of the abandoned farms, coast to coast, where we kept finding ourselves hiding from uncounted human predators, including The Evil Big Sis, building forts and tinkering with the abandoned farm equipment, etc. He was a naturally passive soul and I had to defend him more than once. Life was not kind to him after his attempt to find help resulted in public profiling. I still feel like I abandoned him when I left him with the rest of the clan.
When he died, I was secretly dreaming for a way to reach past the decades of estrangement to bring him on board for this project. Part of me believes he heard the invitation and got here the quickest way he could. Part of me. . . All of me grieves this hideous waste of human potential.
