Starting to put me first!
I am a 37 year old codependent in a relationship with an addict. He went into a Sober Living home on December 25,2011. My codependency has always caused me financial issues, I was raised to take care of a man. I honestly will put everyone else ahead of my self the same as my mother does. I am currently on Disablity due to my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis after I was fired in December of 2007.
Due to the fact that I paid for my boyfriend to stay in a program I am in jeopardy of losing my car and my apartment, nothing new just someone new. I had started attending meetings but haven't been working the program.I have decided that I need to work CODA and have decided to set some goals for myself.
My goals as of February 15, 2012
1. No contact with my BF or his family for 30 days.
2. Attend a CODA meeting Daily whether by phone or a local meeting
3. Just take things one day at a time.
