Starting The 7th Day
Well here I am, beginning what will now be my 7th day straight in regards to not visiting the places that were once my ex-fiance's and my special places around town. Setting up this goal plan here on Daily Strength has very much helped me in regards to maintaining this goal I've setup for myself. Also not visiting the once was places has helped me not feel so hurt, for by not visiting those places protects and guards me against the memory's that I would subject myself to by being there. Granted most might think this goal of not going to these places for 30 days is stupid, but to me this goal plan in a minor way is a life saver. Well, let's see if I can make it all the way through this day number 7!

No way is this stupid my friend, whatever helps your healing is well worth it.
Have a nice Halloween! Take care..
Thank you so very much for your support here Kbbxoop, very appreciated indeed. It\'s felt nice not torturing myself, well at least up to this point, and a side note, can you believe that this coming November-3rd will be exactly the three month mark since someone walked out my door for the last time, 90 days, wow, even though this has been kind of rough stage of my, time is sure starting to fly! Again, thanks for the encouragements Kbbcoop, it\'s been hard, and words like yours make it\'s worth it! :)
SO not stupid at all! I think it is very smart actually. It\'s a way of speeding up your recovery. Sometimes I wish I could move somewhere new...all the places that trigger memories (and there are so many places!) are just a painful reminder. A constant reminder of the past. Hope it really helps you!
Happy Halloween!
Thank you Panther99 for your kind words, yes it\'s nice to have a new home, one that\'s not full of days gone by and once was\'s! Granted my new home has \"zero\" triggers in it, but it\'s the rest of my town that does! Sometimes on my daily travels I might pass by one of the \"trigger spots\" and tell myself....\"hey man, get he hell out of here, keep going, keep going, don\'t stop for if you do you\'ll violate your goal plan and get all messed up by memory\'s! So my goal plan feels good in the sense that I\'m not putting myself into the position about getting emotional about our old special places.
