Starting something that Vince loved

Even though it is still cold here in PA I am thinking of Spring. Vince loved Spring, gardening and fishing were his favorite things. He was raised on a farm and started all his plants from seed. I love gardening too but he would never let me plant anything! He would spend hours and hours talking about how to plant the garden and even drawing it out on grid paper. He and I would pour over the catalogs pick the veggies and my job was to pick and cook them after they grew. Sort of funny if I think of it. With some of his things I found grow lights and little seed starting greenhouses. So I decided to get seeds from his favorite mail order place and grow my own garden this year. I know how to do it, it was just Vince's thing. Now I will do it for me and in his memory. I know he will be standing behind me examining how I am planting everything. Just another way for me to find the new me, I guess.
