Starting Round 4

Starting round 4 of Chemo next week.  After that, it's  off to test and bone marrow biopsy.  I noticed that my Neuropathy kicks in more during the off weeks than other times.  I'm hoping to have this thing in remission so that I will not have to do a transplant....we will soon see!

Look up \"chemo nadir\" to understand why the off weeks do that.

I think the standard process is the front-line therapy, which you are going through, to get you to a point where they can do stem cell collection so you can have a transplant, after the stronger chemo melphalan.

Today went well and I\'m really responding to treatment. IGG Kappa which not as agressive as other forms of myeloma. IGG went from 11,100 before treatment to 1,350 and Kappa went from 12,100 to 1,500. My paraprotein went from 7.65 to .75.

Had Pre-Transplant Appt. Got to see where the collection will take place and the process. (not looking forward to it). Had Bone Biopsy (ouch).. Results are scheduled to be back in two weeks. Hope all numbers are where they need to be and that this stuff is in remission...(fingers cross)
