Starting Rituxan next week
Well, I finally received word that the insurance approved Rituxan therapy for me. I start next Wednesday. I'm anxious and excited all at the same time. My husband would say cautiously optimistic - but he's such a pragmatist. I'm not expecting to come through the infusion without ANY problems, I just hope they are mild and tolerable. Mostly, I'm hoping that Rituxan will control my symptoms better than plasma exchange (which hasn't been working well lately). As someone who has battled MG for almost 30 years, I would really like to feel NORMAL for a bit. Well, actually, I'd like to feel NORMAL forever. But I'll take just a bit. So I guess I'm a bit more of a dreamer, hoper, optimist than my husband. I hope I'm right…even for just a bit.
