Starting Out

I live near Bloomington, Indiana and have had RSD/CRPS since September of 2016. I fell off of a stairs and twisted my foot just right that the doctors said I just had a bad sprain. I went to an orthopedic who thought that I fractured one of the bones in my foot. After three weeks I went back for a check up. That was when I was diagnosed with CRPS. I had 2 nerve blocks done and I am pretty sure the second one did more damage than it did good. I then started physical therapy. I was blessed with a physical therapist who did know about RSD/CRPS. He made me begin by starting to desensitize my left leg. I went through electrotherapy, slowly working my way down the nerve line.  For anyone who does not know, Electrotherapy is basically electrical pulses that desensitize the area. It is similar to the technique used for Quell. I also used Kinetic tape and spray adhesive. This helped with everyday movements. My mom had begun to sell doTerra Essential Oils and also used oils that helped promote better circulation and reduce swelling. For a long time was not able to have my mom touch my foot or touch my foot myself. After 8 months of physical therapy, I was able to walk again. I was in remission! I was able to find a new job where I was not going to be a huge liability.

I was in remission for about 3 months and then I fell and injured my other leg. I knew after I fell that I now had the onset in my right leg. I went through the exercises and used the essential oils as well as the Kinetic Tape.

I now have CRPS in both of my legs and both of my arms. I have been able to continue to walk for the most part. Winter seems to be the hardest for functioning though.
