Starting IVF
I am excited that my surgery when well (lap) and I have healed and am back to work! Also, I am starting the in vitro process and got the wonderful news that my insurance will cover the process. I am meeting with the IVF nurse tonight and am getting anxious, but excited to start. (not too excited though!). I am struggling with one aspect of the process, whether to freeze my embryos or not. The doc said MAYBE next time I will not have to utilize the IVF process and only have to this time. My insurance doesn't cover that portion, but I am so grateful that it covers the rest. I will be starting at the end of December with the implant and retrieval for the beginning of January. Please I am looking for advice and guidance! I am nervous!

Yay! Congrats on beginning IVF! You will do great! I took great comfort in having some frosties. A FET is much easier on the body and involves much less on your part, so having them there in case the cycle does not work is great. The yearly storage varies from place to place, but it\'s not too much (compared to the cost of IVF). I\'m surprised that your insurance does not cover it. An FET is much less expensive for them too, so it usually is covered for the first year. It\'s up to you and I\'m sure whatever decision you make will be well thought out and will be right for you.

Thank you MRSstrong, I assume that it doesn\'t cover it because it is not a necessary thing ya know? I went to the appointment last night and since they are closed for xmas, I have to wait for the following cycle, which of course I will be away, so I am hoping my period is late haha. I am excited to get started, and have decided to freeze because it does make sense.
