Star Trek or Hockey Pucks???

So I met with a pain doctor and he gave me two choices: a neuromodulator (goes into your spinal cord and remind me of being a BORG from Star Trek!) or a pain pump (which looks like a hockey puck).
At first, I felt cautious hope but I see him Wed and now I'm scared. I read up on both procedures and would love feedback on them. Especially and pro/con: as in they say I could be paralyzed or DIE!!! Yikes. If you have feedback, let me know, ok?

Same here, Sorry you have been hurting so much lately. I don\'t either procedure. Knowledge is power, and you have to trust your Doctor. Best Wishes and Luck. Brian
