Stalling
The remodeling projects here at the ranch seem to be stalling out. Roofs with rainwater harvesting capabilities, windows and doors are the next items on the agenda and each bid/idea seems cloudier and less certain than the last. Upgrading the housing seems too complex to even discuss. I am far from certain that Hubs even wants to upgrade the housing here. For him, this is a weekend retreat from his full-time+ paid gig and focused on his personal hobby of beekeeping. Camping facilities are sufficient. This neglected old wreck of a house is plenty sufficient for that; even romantic on the *roughing it* scale. It looks decidedly different through the 24/7 lenses of actually living and working here.
This early Monday morning has me feeling isolated and apathetic. Here in the literally coolest hours of the day, the residuals of yesterday's triple digit heat are a stark reminder of the heat of the day to come. I find myself wondering if this would be a good time to let the dust settle here while I take inventory in the river region. It's not much cooler there than here, but it's still green and the AC in the basecamp there works much better than the dusty wind through the windows here.
Maybe time to soft wrap the projects here again? Sorting. . .

Physically, the day is still stalling. I've done nothing but listen to Fiddler on the Roof while I work a jig saw puzzle. Mentally I've been waffling between which project to tackle here and/or whether to head for the river region. Well. . . I also indulged in two uncharacteristic phone conversations. It's rare that my cravings for conversation can overcome my phone-phobia. Still, both Hubs and BBS are up-to-date on this round of psycho-babble and the talks have been feeling quite productive.
I'm still feeling the need for further meditation, but it feels like I am shifting gears for the river region. Que dios me guia.
Sending support & hugs, Arfie.
Very often of late, I have felt very similar sense of ‘waffling’ between what to do, often either too exhausted or apathetic to figure things out. Personally, I think letting yourself just stall until you feel the ready to decide would be a healthy choice. I often do poorly when I pressure myself to make decisions I’m still hesitant about.
There seems to be so much you’re handling right now. You have such inspiring strength.
All the best wishes & lots of hugs.
Hey arfie~. sounds like a transitional occurrence as the mind exits one occupancy for another. I usual like to take a day off from even thinking about the polarizing of one over the other, and do mindless physical things, in my case , that means redecorate the same room and move the furniture around a half dozen times until I realize the way it was was fine and tada, put everything back the way it was again. By then I am ready for a warm meal and a cold drink. hugs
