stage and grade update...
...or no update, really. Today I went to get my 1 month Hep A vaccine booster shot. So since I was there I asked the nurse about my stage and grade from the biopsy. She looked through all of my labs and records and could not give me that. She said all there was in my file was "no steatosis, no fibrosis, no cihrossis, and very minimal inflammation." which is just what the doctor told me when I met with him. So I don't know what to think. Should I be worried that they don't know what they are doing? This Dr. came very highly recommended and even at the hospital for the biopsy everyone was like, "Oh, you're seeing Dr. So and So...he is soooo good."
At this point, I am feeling good that they can assure me that there is no significant damage. However, maybe I should consider finding a more Hep C specialized Doctor. I am supposed to call them as soon as the new drugs are approved to set up a new appointment to see about treatment. Maybe I should ask him to refer me somewhere else.

funny thing, I went to my primary yesterday, he could not find my blood tests from 2 weeks ago, and that is why I went to find out the results. Also, I am geno 1A, he said , oh that means it is benign. I said no that means I have the most common in the USA, and the hardest to treat. I suggest you call your doctor again and ask what the stage and grade is, better yet, why don\'t you get copies of ALL your tests, blood tests etc. I have a folder and when I go to my specialist I take the folder, because sometimes he does not get the results from my primary.
