Stabbity Day 1
Just did my first Lupron injection. I held up quite well. In fact, my MIL (a nurse practitioner) was supervising me and thought I did remarkably well. Of course, both of her sons are very very squeamish. The thing that concerns me is that she said "Now, just so you know, I've never known anyone who went on Lupron who wasn't a completely angry, raving bitch while they were on it. That's kind of one of the side effects." I'm a bit nervous, so I downloaded some guided meditations, and I'm going to try to do one every day while I'm on the Lupron to keep the old blood pressure in check and not scare poor Drew away forever! Combined with exercise and just generally being aware of it, I hope that will help. Did any of you IVF-ers have that problem at all? If so, what did you do about it? Well, here's hoping for the best! This is the most foreign chemicals I've ever had in my body at once. Lupron/BCP cocktail. Woo hoo! Keep your hands and arms inside the ride at all times!

I have been taking Lupron, Bravelle and Menopur since last Thursday, I have had zero side effects thus far besides a slight headache......
best of luck.....you\'ll do great!!
Yeah, I will be taking Menopur, Follistim, Gonadotropin, and Progesterone at some point too. So many drugs.
I did bcp. lupron, and follistim with no real side effects. My anxiety, which I am prone to normally, was a little higher, but not too bad. i really think that being aware is a huge step to prevention, or at least keeping things in check. Good Luck!!!
