Stabbing update

He admitted to stabbing the mother and daughter.  He said that "God wanted him to".  He also admitted to beating his father to death with a rock, last June, in the garage.  He said his dad was sick and he wanted to keep him from suffering. He said he had brought the big rock with him on 4 other occasions, planning to kill his dad.
He is charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault, 2 counts of attempted murder and 1st degree murder in the death of his father.  If convicted, he faces over 60 years in prison.  Laws here states he will serve 100% of any sentence he gets.  If he is convicted and sentenced to 60 years.  He will be 106 years old when he is eligible for release.
Due to his assets, he must provide his own defense lawyer and must have a lawyer before bond hearing is scheduled. I just do not understand all of this.  Such a tragedy.
