Spring Photos

Only one lone daffadil this year, for some reason.  Last year, I had many!

My white Magnolia tree is beginning to bloom. My yellow tree is a little behind.

I hope I get alot of pears this year. Still waiting to see blossoms growing....I didn't get any pears last year, so one pear would be a miracle.

Have you ever seen a may fly?  I saw a swarm of them last week.  They only live for 24 hours!    They seemed so happy to be able to fly!  God Bless them!

spring is late this year. We are just starting to have daffodils and the tulips are still dormant. Hope that you get better weather and flowers will bloom hugs

I have the plants that grow in my back of the kennel area that are something that blooms...but they have not bloomed....I do not know what they are....I used to mow them down....there are two bunches back there and one on side of the shed.....the look kind of like your daffodil but it has not sent any flower out yet.....maybe it is a surprise lilly? or Iris? I do not know....letting it grow this year and see if it flowers for Bebe's sake....

That is a sign that your daffodil bulbs need dug up and separated, then replanted. Too many "baby bulbs" are attached to "the mother". This usually happens at about the 5 year mark after initial planting. This also applies to most spring bulbs. They propagate underground from the main bulb. (Unless you have the patience to grow bulbs from the seed pods after the flowers are spent, and they dry on the stem.)
