Spring is here!

It has been so long..... afraid all my friends might be gone from here. Have had both my knees replaced, one in July of 2014 and the other one last November. Finally I can walk around without pain!! But now am all out of shape so have no energy and hard to walk any distance. Need to get out and start walking! Have been going to the gym again, need to exercise the knee so it doesn't get stiff on me. Have slowed down quite a bit it seems, not interested in gardening anymore as can't get down on my knees, so not too much to do around here. I get out for lunch with friends and try to find things to do around the house. Spend a lot of time on the computer, daughter gave me an ipad, so play with that a lot. I also like to read and crochet but in summer I like to be more active, not good to sit too much. Seem to have developed a heart problem, almost couldn't have my knee surgery in Dec. But 2 Drs said we would go ahead and do it and I came thru it OK. I had an abnormal EKG, long Q-T's they called it. Too much space between the "blips" is what I call it. My doc doesn't seemed too concerned so I won't be either. Whoever is left on here, give me a holler or if you're new and want to be friends give me a holler......

Hi girl it is good to hear from you I have not been around very much myself the last couple of years. My world was changed so much since Neal died in 2015. Since that time there have been an endless stream of medical, usually surgical issues and then January 1 this year I slipped on ice and broke my back. It's been healing well and I'm in physical therapy
I can't do the big gardens anymore but we will make a small green house for some things like my tomatoes and then we are going to create a flower garden on our deck so I can sit out there on nice days
I've also needed to divert my mind so I got started on adult coloring books. It's loads of fun and Winter and Chelsie often join me for a family night of coloring
Loves and hugs

Hello my friend, so good to hear from you again. It is a long time since I posted on this site but when I saw your message arrive in my inbox I just had to reply. A lot of water has flown under the bridge for me too. I am sorry to hear about your health problems but stick at the walking - just a little each day and gradually increase it. Here in my country, New Zealand, it is autumn and just today I planted sweet peas for some winter colour. I don't do a lot of heavy gardening these days but enjoy pottering around and tending my pot plants. We have a couple of raised garden beds for vegetables which are easy to look after. I had my 80th birthday last December so I don't have the energy I once had either. Like you I enjoy lunch with friends once in a while and have joined a local seniors group that has mini trips to interesting places. I enjoy reading and belong to our local library. Take care and keep in touch.
