Spring is a time for new beginnings!

Well, as my weight loss update shows, I have gained instead of lost. 6 lbs in fact. I have been very upset over this the past few weeks because I am trying to lose 20 lbs for a mini vacation that is only 3 weeks away. However, I will not be defeated! This time, I am taking it seriously! Over the weekend, I bought some dietary supplements, multi vitamins, and water pills (because I know I am retaining A LOT of water). I had my first doctor visit Monday and had a full blood panel completed, which I will have the results of at the end of the month. Additionally, even though my family is very poor and our food budget was just cut by $150, I will be buying only healthy foods, I am joining Weight Watchers, and my husband and I will be taking advantage of a free month at our local gym. I am truly excited for all of the positive changes I am making thus far this month.
In fact, my husband and I went for a nice 20 minute walk Sunday night, and played 20 minutes of racquetball this morning. To save money, I will be using up all of the food from the freezer and pantry before I go buy more from the store. I am pretty sure the majority of it is all healthy, and if not, I will just limit my portions.
I realize that up until this point, I have just been wishing the pounds away while I complain about my injury and resulting pain, all the class work I have to do, and keeping up the house (which I am not doing a very good job of, I might add).

I would appreciate any and all support from my friends here and anyone who would like to become my friend. I am making it a point to write in my journal daily from now on to help hold myself accountable. If anyone would like to shoot me a message every day asking if I have completed a workout, it would be welcomed because I need to feel pushed.
134 pounds is a lot to lose, but I am going to tackle one small goal at a time. Right now, that goal is 20 lbs down by April 24. Please help!

What a wonderful start. Take it slow and build up from there. Once the weight starts coming off, you will feel even more motivated. I am so proud of you!
