SPRING BREAK!!!!

Tomorrow starts are Spring Break. It's nice to be able to spend extra time with Austin but I can't help but worry about the 3 days less pay on my next paycheck. This is the time when my H and I would take the kids to the lake or the beach for the week so it's hard to expain to Austin that this year it's just different. We can make waffles and watch movies maybe go hang out by the pool but I know what he's thinking THIS SPRING BREAK SUCKS.. Of course he would never say that out loud but everytime he ask if we can do something I have to give the same answer. "We will have to see we don't have much money sweet heart but mom will try" This is why I get so pissed off when I see the H making post on facebook like " going golfing" going to play poker" going out to my favorite watering hole" how about going to HELL!!!! that one I could except. But, on the advice of my DS Fairy Godmother I don't react anymore and play into his game of trying to get a rise out of me. In fact I deleted him as my friend on FB so I would no longer have to see those stupid discusting comments anymore. I know I can't control what he writes and he obviously has no concern about how it makes me or even his older kids feel when they see it but, I do have control over how I react to it.
I know everyone has told me that I have to accept that my life is different now no more Disneyland trips, no more week ends at the lake in a cabin, no more spring breaks at the beach I have to watch every penny for awhile until my child support is written in stone. Still I can't help but get that sick feeling in my stomache everytime I can't rent my son a game or movie. anytime I can't take him to Mcdonalds for a freakin happy meal while his father is all over town buying new clothes and eating out every night. Someone please tell me he will get his one day..........

T, he WILL get HIS. It\'s just a matter of time!
This thing is far from being settled. And as far as thinking \"no more this and no more that\" -- this is only a temporary situation. It\'s your job to show Austin that some of the most fun times don\'t cost any money! You can do this! Think outside the box now, and know that today isn\'t forever!

Hang in there. You are doing a great job and have a great attitude. Enjoy your time off with your son. Spending time together is the best vacation you can give him. What goes around comes around. He will get his some day! :) Maggie
