I have been diagnosed have COPD, severe stage, but for moment feel quite well.
I am 71 years old, living in Sweden in a little village, we have many older people living on countryside. I live alone with my cat, have two children which lives far away, two grandclidren and one little grandgrandchildren of two years.
As medicin I have just LABA beta2 agonist Oxis, have not any exacerbations so I dont want any steroids yet. I use pulsoximete to check my oxygen saturation, quite well if i am resting but goes down when i walk. I try be active every day.
I think this forrum is very nice, my english is not so good so excuse me if i am not so active in writing, You are in my thoughts.

If your sats go down when you are walking or active, has the doctor mentioned oxygen yet> If you are in severe stage and have had no exacerbations, you are doing remarkedly well !!! That is great...
My sats goes down when I am walking, but I take a pause and can menage it quite well, can shop and do some garden work too. In Sweden our health care system is not so well on rural area, I have not seen any lung specialist, have only a doctor in our local health station. I will meet her soon and ask if I can have a remiss to specialist. I have looked myself information of oxygen, it is not so easy to get it here. But I will ask my doctor about it too. I have no exacerbations but not all days are just fine.
